Hi Folksy!

I love the idea of kintsugi which takes something broken and makes it something more beautiful by embracing the broken parts
This design features a floral pattern on a plate, repaired with this practice.

Full description

Fine art print of illustration "Kintsugi" by Libby Bess

The print is A3 in size and comes unframed

Printed on quality thick 310gsm Cotton Rag paper, with giclee ink so it will not fade over time

Design features whimsical floral plate with kintsugi lines sprawling across the page.

I've never tried to draw something metallic before so it was really fun making the gold lines look shiny - I think it was a success!

Please note that the gold is printed as part of the design using my matte inks, not metallic ink.

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese technique that uses gold powder and lacquer to repair broken ceramics. The process can turn something broken into something even more beautiful than it was when it was whole: and symbolises becoming more beautiful through hardship.
