The basic quilt being green made me think of a garden with lots of flowers in the summer and I thought I’d use raw-edged appliqué to add them to it..

Measuring 35 1/2 “ square, this ‘ Garden Party ‘ design will suit a variety of areas of your home or business.
As a wall-hanging or a lap quilt it would bring the garden indoors in a conservatory, garden room, summer house or florist shop, where it would set the scene, so to speak.
It would make a nice table or picnic cloth for afternoon tea in a country setting on a nice day out.
It shows a selection of flowers, a hive and two bees setting out to collect nectar and is stitched with free-style embroidery and raw-edged appliqué. It’s washable at thirty degrees and the edges will soften in time as a result, which is the charm of this technique.
