Small toy ball to use for small felting on a ball projects such as a bowl, inflatable in the approximate range 15.5”/39.5cm - 16.5”/42cm in circumference. It is made of a hardwearing rubber material and will come in either orange, green or blue as shown (depending on available stock colours).
The ball comes with 2 valves (1 to use and 1 spare) but you will need to separately purchase or have available some kind of pump, ideally an air pump used to inflate sport balls, to inflate it. The valve has a standard screw fitting (5mm in diameter) which screws onto a pump (air pump, hand or foot pump, bicycle pump etc). Once attached to a pump, insert the valve fully into the hole at the top of the ball to inflate. To deflate the ball, insert the valve without the pump attached and the air will escape through the valve.
If you are interested in how I’ve used a similar ball to create a small felted vessel, there are instructions in my book '3D Wet Felting' (see separate listing). Please note that this ball has a smaller size range than the one used in the book and is ideal to use at 16" in circumference, which will make a small bowl approximately 5" high x 5" in diameter - see photos for examples of finished items made with it.
