I friend told me about the Fun a Day Exeter project that runs annually, which encourages artists and creatives to pick a project to make every day throughout February, and I have always loved shells and the process of painting and finding shells on the beach, I have paper bags full of whole and broken up bits off shells and fell in love with the idea of painting one for every day of the month of Feb. To be honest the project look more like paint 8 a day over the course of 3 days to get them ready in time, and I didn't manage a full 28, but I did love the process, and I have to say I'm a little in love with the final piece as a whole too.

Full description

This original piece was made and brought together throughout the month of February 2025. I (tried!) to create a shell a day throughout the month using the shells I've collected at my favourite local beaches as inspiration. This was such a fun project and I got to display it at the Fun a Day Exeter exhibition in March. This was such a fun project and I'm so looking forward to it finding a home where it can be enjoyed.
