"An Darach Dubh" translates as "The Dark Oak" in Scots Gaelic
Made from 3000yr old Fenland Black Oak (also known as Ancient Bog Oak) unearthed from it's slumber in the soil of the Fens.
These pins have been inspired by the distinctive shapes of the ancient Standing Stones of Stenness on Orkney.
The ‘Kilt Window’ in each pin is inspired by the variety of nest-holes, nooks and crannies in old trees (allowing the plaid to peek through), while the decorative stitched seams symbolise the roots we all send down from head, through heart and connect us to the land.
Backed with a tartan offcut from kilts handmade in Scotland; a secret splash of colour known only to you.
Due to the materials and handmade process, each pin is a bespoke unique piece.

There is a no refund policy on earrings, due to hygiene issues. Please notify me immediately if your item has been damaged in the postal system. I do not accept returns on custom commissioned items, unless faulty.
