Imperial Jasper is created over millions of years when mineral-rich fluids seep into porous volcanic tuff, depositing various minerals into the rock.
These minerals have a variety of colours, giving the Jasper its distinctive multi-coloured swirling patterns.
No two stones are alike, in either pattern or colouration, making this a genuinely one of a kind, unique piece of jewellery.
Jasper has been used in jewellery for thousands of years, and was believed to protect against evil, promote courage, calmness and spiritual well-being.

Striking gemstone earrings that are lightweight and easy to wear.
Trios of 6x3mm Imperial Jasper discs are separated by a 2mm gold vermeil spacer bead.threaded ontp gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Mostly green in colour, these Imperial Jasper Heishi beads are speckled with vibrant colours of creams, blues, pinks and reds.
The cut is slightly rustic, so expect some imperfections.
They are lightly polished, giving a natural finish.
Imperial Jasper is considered one of the fine Jaspers due to its striking colours and patterns.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a special gift for a birthday, anniversary, mother's day or Valentine's, or as a treat for yourself.
These earrings measures approximately 1.25mm (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within mainland UK.
