As i am a retired tree surgeon i have always had a deep interest in trees and there shapes,i used to grow real bonsai trees but i have no chance to do that any more,as i was always moving around, so decided to start making trees out of aluminium wire and sometimes copper, but aluminium is a lot easier to work with, I've found it very relaxing and rewarding to make these trees.

Full description
This is an interesting small bonsai tree, the trunk and branches are made of silver aluminium wire, and the leaves are made of mixture of gold and yellow with different shades of each, the trunk and branches are delicately twisted around to create a realistic effect, and then the leaves are made by a different technique of rolling the wire around itself to get the effect, it is leaning and the roots are shown to give an exposed effect, the tree itself is standing on a small piece of black wood which has felt pads underneath to stop scratching on delicate surfaces .
