The moment I saw these tulips reaching for the sun I knew I had to photograph them. They don't stay around for long in their perfection and colours can fade. The light was perfect for revealing all their subtlety and droplets added their highlights.
They reappear every year but this moment was unique for me, to share.

Full description
This incredible flower is almost perennial in that the bulb will reveal its glory every year. It lives in the garden ground waiting for the Spring and that's when I saw it, in the Sunshine, in Monmouth (UK). Bursting out with silky colours of gentle warmth.
Its impossible to take it all in with one glance but on a wall or a desk constant study proves how amazing it is.
I print these images of mine onto archive quality glossy photo paper. I sign and title them in black ink on the border and they are packed in tissue, very carefully, for posting. They are not mounted.
These wild tulips are almost impossible to believe...but they are a true love.
