I was inspired by simplicity and functionality, which perfectly combines with eco-friendly materials. The cotton cord I used to make the handbag is extremely durable, yet has a natural, warm look that makes the handbag both a practical accessory and an elegant element of everyday wear.
The idea for the project came from the desire to create something that is environmentally friendly while being easy to use. In working on the handbag, I focused on a simple form to highlight the beauty of the material while ensuring its functionality. The entire sewing process on the machine was an inspiring challenge—the cotton cord required precise stitching, but the end result brought me great satisfaction.
This project represents a blend of my passion for sewing and my love for natural materials that give objects a unique character.

City basket handbag from cotton cord.
Sewn from very strong and good quality cotton cord. Stiff but light.
Size:
High 30cm (might be different 2cm)
Width and deep at widest point 58cm (might be different 2cm).
Handles 30cm (might be 2cm different).
More colour available at request.
The cord are made on my order and depending on the number of cord I order, it takes about 5 weeks, then they are delivered from abroad for another week and from that moment I sew and ship within a week. I order the cord only after a prior request a colour.
