I've recently been making a range of ceramic brooches based on some of my favourite birds and animals. Staying connected to nature, drawing it, painting it, spending time within nature is so important to me and I hope it is reflected in my work.

Full description
A lovely ceramic chicken brooch, it comes packaged in a jewellery box for safe keeping and posting. It makes a lovely gift for any bird lovers out there.
I use a white earthenware clay for my brooches, once it's had a bisque fire I hand paint it, then dip it in a transparent shiny glaze to achieve the strong vivid colours. I use araldite to attach the brooch finding as I find this is the most secure way of fixing it.
