I knitted my first lacy scarf using this type of yarn when I was teaching myself lace knitting in 2005. Very ambitious of me at the time! I hope you enjoy wearing this truly elegant scarf!

Elegant, silky soft, warm and yet featherlight, this is the perfect scarf to wear in spring and as seasons change. Also suitable for winter wear to accesorise a formal dress or business attire.
It measures about 13.5cm (5.5in) wide and 123cm (48.5in) long. Good size to wrap around your neck, tie it loosely or to fill the V neck of your favourite sweater.
I used a very fine and luxurious mohair wool / silk yarn and slightly larger needles for the airy feel and to suit this type of yarn. The colour is a rich burgundy, a classic shade that will match many colours.
This elegant piece makes a terrific handmade gift for Mother's Day, your favourite teacher or a special occasion!
