Full description
These funky textured silver star pendants are handmade from recycled silver which has been added in many thin delicate layers using a brush over a ceramic star, meaning a larger chunkier pendant can be produced at a lower price than if it was made with solid silver. Presented on black cotton cord and ready for gifting in an organza bag - plastic free packaging. Each time I make the stars they will look slightly different. You’ll see the brush strokes as this adds the unique textured effect. I wear mine a lot.
I use silver clay which allows me to use recycled silver in a paste form before firing it in my kiln. My work can be hallmarked at the London Assay Office as it it 99.9% silver, a higher silver content than sterling silver which is 92.5% but to keep costs down for the customer I only do this for heavier pieces.
