Full description

This beautiful, handcrafted recycled silver brooch was made using the ancient technique of granulation (fusing silver balls together). Silver wire has been formed and soldered together for the base of the brooch and a cluster of small silver balls has been added. A handmade brooch pin is on the back of the brooch.

This is a perfectly imperfect piece as there are areas at the reverse of the brooch where the soldering is not as I would like it to be.

The brooch is made of unpolished silver so has a white/silver colouring. Over time the appearance will change to become more shiny.

Width at the widest point: 6.5 cm

Height:5.3 cm

Designed by Shirley Nelson in London
