Prints of mountains, wild places and water, with a few macro/nature photos sneaking in. Until recently I was working with 35mm film, but rising costs have meant a swap to digital. Starting to enjoy the increased flexibility!
Where original images were captured on 35mm film, they have been developed, printed then scanned at high resolution. The print you buy will be from the resulting digital image, printed by a reputable printing service. Digital images have been through post processing and may have undergone some enlargement -the prints you buy will print at 300dpi minimum.
The images you see in this shop are lo-res with a watermark, which will be removed in the final hi-res product.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
A photographic print of Cwm y Gadair, the lake like a mirror in the corrie below Cadair Idris in southern Eryri (Snowdonia), taken around sunset on a still summer's evening. A great gift for a walker, mountain traveller, or geographer. Until very recently, a version of this image has been hanging on my own walls.
The final image is a hi-res scan of an original, taken on 35mm film. It has had a certain amount of post processing to refine and restore the image, removing as much dust and scratch marks as possible, but will have a certain amount of film grain when viewed close up.

Images shown are lo-res: the final version will be considerably better, with watermarks removed. Upon ordering, your print will be sent to my printers as soon as possible, before coming to me for quality control. I will then dispatch then to your address as quickly as I can.
From the printer's webpage: "C-Type prints are those where the image is formed by light on sensitised paper. The paper can be exposed traditionally (in a darkroom) or, more commonly these days, digitally where a laser is used to expose the paper with the image. The paper is then processed in photochemistry in the traditional way. All our Value Professional Prints are made with Fujicolor Professional Type DPII paper – possibly the finest all round silver halide photographic paper ever made."
