I love these little bells, the sounds they make are almost an expression of their rustic form, ranging from a high tinkle (rin-rin in Japanese) to more of a rattle (gara-gara in Japanese)
There are many stories behind these bells, how the technique has been passed down through generations, how they are used in ritual dance to call the ancient gods or simple hung in a modern home and rung to raise a smile.
They are fun to make and a joy to hear.

Full description
Dorei bells originate in Japan and are a good luck charm thought to protect and ward off ills of all kind. They are traditionally hung at the entrance to your home, on the door frame or window.
This bell is decorated with a symbol of a sitting buddha, drawn in a brushstroke style.
The bells are hand made, give a different sound and come in two colours.
Size: 6cm x 6cm
All bells come in a gift box.
