I have always had an interest in symbolism and Buddhist philosophy. The Unalome symbol is a favourite of mine for its meaning and aesthetic appeal with its twisting movement and flow.

Everything is hand built so there are quirks and differences in each piece but I believe this adds to their charm and appeal.
These two are slightly chunkier and heavier than my normal cups hence the reduced price.

Full description

Small handleless cup or tumbler formed using the Kurinuki technique of carving and hollowing from a single block of clay.

The Unalome symbol represent our path through life or in Buddhist terms our path to enlightenment, with all its twists and turns.

All cups are hand made and have quirks in the texture and form that make them unique and adhere to the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi and the beauty of imperfection. No two cups will ever be exactly the same.

The type of cup was traditionally created for drinking tea but can be used for your drink of choice.

Size: approx 6cm x 7.5cm

Capacity: approx 200ml

Food Safe. Hand wash only

All cups are gift boxed.
