I love making specimen slides / tags as I am constantly picking up flowers and leaves in my daily walks. I wanted to give my journals a natural element and love creating these slides.

Full description
I created these botanical floral specimen tags for use in junk journals. I've added my own special grunge to the outside paper (a manila file folder) with various inks and have added acetate to each aperture window on both sides so you can see the specimen on either side.
I've then sewn around each specimen tag and have included an envelope of hand stamped botanical bits and pieces for the user to decorate themselves. You can stamp on them if you have them to hand and I've shown you an example of them in my last photo are for inspiration only and are not included in this sale.
The dried flowers used are (of those I know!): a Persian lilac leaf, a rose petal, a flower that was white and I think a daisy (or similar to it), a feather, a few grass pods I tried to dry - they did dry but are not completely flat, a white cherry blossom, two petals from a corn flower, some white flower - it's not baby's breath, a leaf from last fall that I pressed, and some dried seed blossoms that are similar to the dandelion but it is purple along with one of its petals.
Botanical Tag - No. 19 (this is for my purposes only).
