Having made a tapestry bag from a crochet pattern, I started my journey to try to convert North American patterns and symbols into my own crochet designs.
This was my first, and taken from the Navajo Fire creek symbol. I love the earth colours used, and the circular design for the base of the bag.

This is a unique bag, crocheted in earth colours and coarse wool to give it a rustic feel
The design is based on the North American Navajo symbol called 'Firecreek' The lining is recycled cotton fabric in a muted lemon.
Both the drawstring and the strap are made from plaited yarn.
Measuring 16" in length, 14" wide, with shoulder strap of 20" there's plenty of room inside.
Recommended to draw attention wherever you take it!
Would make an unusual present for just the right person.
