This fleece is part of my exploration of different breeds of sheep, I have a limited number of bags of this for sale.

this is a 50g bag of Icelandic sheep fleece which has been hand washed but processed no further it is cream coloured and has some staining to the long 'Tog' hairs.
Icelandic sheep are a Northern short-tailed breed of sheep, which as their name suggests are mainly found in Iceland.
Their fleece is dual coated, with a 'Tog' (long, strong outer coat) and a 'Thel' (soft undercoat). The tog and thel can be spun together or separately. The tog has a micron count of 27-31, the thel has a micorn count 19-22.
