In 1983 my brother Peter and I won a competition for a free factory for one year in which to make a Sussex Trug that had been invented by Peter's father-in-law and was, at that time out of production. We gained a lot of business in the UK and overseas, especially in the USA where we supplied many famous brands with our trugs.
