The inspiration for my ceramic paintbrush rest came from my own love of sketching and painting. I wanted to create something that was both practical and beautiful—a small, thoughtful piece to make the creative process a little easier. As someone who spends a lot of time working with brushes, I found myself needing a place to rest them between strokes, something that kept my workspace tidy but also added a touch of style.
I also drew inspiration from the natural shapes and textures I love, aiming to design something simple yet timeless that would feel at home in any artist’s studio.

The idea for my ceramic paintbrush rest came from my own experience as an artist. I wanted to design something practical yet elegant to make painting sessions smoother and more enjoyable. Each rest is carefully handcrafted in my Devon studio, shaped from locally sourced clay, making every piece truly one of a kind.
I designed it to hold your brushes securely, preventing them from rolling away or leaving marks on your work surface. It’s perfect for keeping your space tidy while adding a touch of charm to your creative setup. Whether you’re working with watercolours, acrylics, or oils, this paintbrush rest is a simple but invaluable tool that blends functionality with timeless design.
