I love working with wool. I’m grateful to be able to help a sheep sanctuary by buying their fleeces. I then wet felt a backing to make the rug but the sheep is unharmed in the process. Just glad to be rid of her winter fleece for the warmer months.

Full description
This is a handmade sheepskin rug (without the skin). It’s made using a shearing sheep’s fleece to which I have added a wetfelted backing to make it useable. It is a Gotland fleece and is very soft, with a beautiful range of colours. Hand washable. It measures 83cms x 88cms Can be used as a rug or a throw decoration.
