This fleece is from a local flock. I have processed it and it is part of my campaign to make British wool profitable. A percentage of any sale goes straight to the shepherd.

Full description
Texel sheep are primarily bred for their meat, and they are not the prettiest of sheep and their wool is often overlooked. They come from the Isle of Texel just off the North Netherlands coast.
Modern Texel sheep heritage contains Leicester and Lincoln longwools, as they where cross bred with these in the early 1800's. This means that the wool they produce is soft and lofty with a good crimp. The staple length is usually between 3 and 6 inches long and the micron count between 26 and 32.
This fleece for sale is a yearling fleece, it is mostly 3.5inches long, but it is very soft. It is ideal for spinning.
