I regularly cycle in the Yorkshire countryside and very occasionally will spot a hare. Usually just its tail or ears bobbing away as it darts across a field.

Full description
The brown hare sits in the centre of its habitat - grassland, wheat field, ploughed field, a meadow and a country cottage with its pretty garden.
The hare and lettering have been cut from a very worn copy of an Observer book. It is stitched onto the fabric background. All the fabric is either new offcuts or reclaimed from vintage items. A variety of hand embroidery holds it all together. No machine stitching. Lengths of lace and buttons add texture.
I've placed it in a pre-loved rose gold frame without glass. It is also available without the frame.
Framed it measures 28 cms. square.
