Memories of sunshiny days! This stained glass ice-cream cone looks good enough to eat.
The carefully selected glass highlights the texture of the cone and the ice-cream flavours of strawberry and a ripple. Mmm my favourites! The wire work create accents depicting the the natural curves in the scoops. It is all finished off with a cherry on top using a red glass nugget created in my kiln.
All handmade using the copper foil technique made famous by Tiffany. Each piece of glass is handcut, grinded to fit, wrapped in copper foil and then hand soldered together. The wire work is attached and the whole piece is washed, waxed and polished.
