I felt that there wasn't enough premium candle holders that could contain large pillar candles with heat resistance, as you can get many tea light holders but not large candle holders.

These are my Handcrafted candle holders that I've made with a stainless steel and slate insert, the insert can't be removed as I have fixed it in place with some high heat resistant black silicone to dissipate heat effectively before it reaches the wood, they come in a set of 2, one large and one small approximate measurements are large:95x95x72mm with a 73mm diameter hole which is the same for the smaller one but it has a depth of 45mm, with a inner depth of 20-25mm and 45-50mm for the larger one, there is variation since slate can be of all thicknesses.
Do please allow for variation in the widths of the wood as I don't get them all perfectly at 95mm but the centre diameter of 73mm is always the same.
I have smoothed and oiled the slate and also deburred and semi polished the stainless steel which helps stop wax from sticking to the inside.
Currently I only offer dark brown with a few more colours to come shortly, I also do a more rustic textured look too which is quite unique as every one is slightly different.
The finish I use is Fiddes hard wax oil as it offers great colour and protection.
