Full description
This is a bag of 50g of hand washed lamb Poll Dorset fleece, which has had no other processing.
Poll Dorset is a breed of Down sheep developed in the 1940's in Australia from British Dorset Horn sheep.
This fleece fine and springy with a significant crimp, it has a micron count of 30. Although the staple length is relatively short, the crimp makes it easy to spin.
Down fleeces were traditionally used in the hosiery trade as the springyness gives some elasticity to the yarn produced.
