This thrifted mirror was crying out for a new life. The beautiful natural wood lent itself to a simple design, taking British wildflowers as its inspiration. As well as the decoration, the tape on the back has been replaced, and new eyelets and picture wire added for hanging. The mirror is securely held in place by metal 'u' pins.

Small pine wall-hanging mirror, hand painted with British wildflowers and insects (and a mollusc!).
Painted with acrylic and protected with a coat of finishing wax.
Frame measures 22.5cm x 29cm. Mirror measures 11cm x 19cm
