Full description

Pdf scarf pattern for Brother with garter carriage

Suitable for women or men & Ideal for gifting, this scarf is easy to knit by machine with some knowledge of machine & GC knitting (or you can knit by hand), using a Brother garter carriage. It is suitable for machine knitting yarns up to fine English 4ply (or heavier if hand knitting). The scarf in the images was knitted in 100% cashmere in 2/28s (cobweb weight) From Uppingham Yarns ( www.wools.co.uk ). You will need approx 200grams for the scarf itself, but you will also need extra cashmere to knit swatch samples to wash & tumble dry test (all driers have different heat settings so this will need to be finalised before you embark on your final scarf, so knitting samples is strongly advised). Included are charts for 24 stitch repeat, as well as mylar & DesignaKnit files for interactive knitting, although you do not need DAK to knit this scarf. There are knitting notes for machine version in PDF format, punchcard templates, mylar templates, hand knit chart & DAK interactive knitting chart with this download as well as Instructions in PDF format.

Dimensions:The scarf in the images is 25cm (10inches) by 148cm (58.5 inches).

You will need: minimum 250 grams cashmere yarn in count 2/28s, brother punchcard or suitable electronic machine with garter carriage, access to tumble dryer. If knitting the punchcard version you will need 2 blank 24st punchcards. If knitting the mylar version you will need 1 mylar sheet 14 stitches
