When it's cold and windy or snowy outside you need a hat that covers as much as possible and this bonnet style hat could be just the thing!
I have crocheted this hood in a self patterning, aran weight, acrylic yarn so it is nice and thick without being too heavy and is machine washable and suitable for vegans and other non wool wearers too.
It starts at the back in an olive green which transitions through a turquoise blue to a deep fir green and then finishes with a khaki green. The front has a couple of rows of dragonscale and the back is finished with a little tassel. This hat has ties so if it's windy you can tie them up or leave them loose if you prefer.
It can be machine washed on a 30 or 40 degree setting but do not tumble dry as it will shrink.
Great for those who love to spend lots of time outdoors no matter what the weather is doing, maybe ramblers, dog walkers or lovers of photography but also great if you have to wait outside maybe for doing the school run or public transport when standing in one place can get chilly very quickly.
