I enjoy creating from wood and hope you will enjoy your choice. I use a parcel service and they usually deliver within 3-4 days, if your purchase is urgent phone me and for a little more I can send next day.
I strive to recycle, the wood has been accumulated and in some cases donated over many years and this helps to keep prices reasonable. I also make my own packages using salvaged cardboard - quite interesting as well!. The packaging tape and minimal bubble wrap sadly cannot be reused.
I have been turning items for spinners for some time. I was asked to make lace bobbins as well and I have found it interesting and absorbing to research the styles and skills required to make these very precise bobbins, I’m in admiration of those who use them to produce lace.

Full description
Sets of six 6 hardwood lace bobbins made by hand in Hampshire, ( not by machine!) and hence each are individuals and hand finished. All are 4” long and drilled for spangles
1/ One set in Midland style in beech
2/ One set in Midland style in a darker hardwood wood
3/ One set in Midland style has been finished with a red stain
4/One set in Honiton style in mahogany
I use a variety of timbers, all from salvaged sources and hence I cannot identify all woods as some species are very similar.
I can make these to order in various designs , woods and finishes to suit your needs. Please message me to discuss.
They are being sold as a set of 6 to keep postage costs down.
