I was inspired by the lovely old poem by John Martin.

Full description
Pumpkina is a small, articulated paper mache Halloween doll; she is dressed in a cotton romper with ruff, buttoned at the back. The box was made from scratch, is lined, and features a pumpkin head which holds a battery-operated tee light. The edging on the lid is decorated with a torn strip of vintage music paper and the words, ‘By the pricking of my thumbs something wicked this way comes’, attributed to Shakespeare.
Both items of this assemblage piece have been constructed from card and gluey paper, finished with chalk paint and wax, and cotton fabric.
The lovely old poem inside the lid is by John Martin.
Approximate box measurements

My assemblage paper art pieces are hand made with patience and love - they often take weeks to complete, and are made for decoration only (they may have sharp edges and small components, so should be kept out of the reach of children).
