Handknitted pure wool 1940s style cropped jumper.
Modern knit using the 1945 Home Notes "Your Victory Sweater" (pattern available from V&A archive).
Knit for size 40" bust, designed to be worn very close-fitting with negative ease.
Actual measurements:
Bust: 38"
Length shoulder-hem: 19.5"
Sleeve length: 6"
Sleeve circumference: 10"
Neck width: 7"
Some felting at underarm and one repair on the back (pictured).
Knit using Cascade 220 Fingering yarn in In The Navy, Puget Sound, Ginseng and Azure.
Made by me for me in 2017/2018, but I haven't worn it for a few years now so moving on.
