Full description
An abstract painting with beach vibes. You take a walk on a beach at the waters edge and you notice the cracked sand, the intricate colours of the shells and pebbles washed by the sea. Seaweeds pushed into waving lines and the bumpy feel under your bare feet. That is what inspires this artwork. Painted over the last few months of 2024. It is highly textured with a cracked and polished glossy finish. The painting is on plywood and a base of modelling medium which was sanded before painting and then sanded many times as each layer of Artist grade acrylic paint was added to reveal the layers below and give that polished pebble feel. It is finished with gloss varnish. It is ready to hang and the sides and back are painted in black. It measures 30cm by 40cm and is in portrait. It is approximately 8mm thick (approx 12 x 16 x 0.5 inches) It is signed 'DAS' by the artist
