Full description
Hand cast solid silver "Pudding Maid" doll necklace. The cast was taken from an original antique, German-made porcelain doll we rescued on one of our mudlarking adventures, a cast was modified to give the tiny doll a tail!
Months ago I filmed a pudding doll and a fragment of a fish-shaped tin whistle together on the table in the round-up of one of our videos. Thats where this idea spawned! It was admittedly mum’s idea but I was very keen to make it into reality. So here she is! Pudding Maid? Frozen maid? Mermaid Charlotte? Idk but I’ve already got into the habit of calling her “frozen fish” but of course mermaids are mammals…
It is made in recycled sterling silver and has been oxidized and rubbed back, enhancing the highlights for an antique look.
The high quality oval Belcher (Rolo) chain has been hand assembled and fully soldered in our studio with spear-shaped tag detailing and 8mm trigger clasp. It is 18' in length (approximately). Please refer to photos for size comparison of pendant.
