The button this ring is cast from is what's known as a livery button, this specific armorial lion head design would have been associated to a specific noble family of Britain. The original button was made of silver plated brass and was found among dozens of other discarded buttons we discovered at an early 20thC refuse tip in central Scotland.

Full description
This ring is made from the cast of a livery button we found on an early 20th center rubbish tip in Scotland. The lion head button was cast in antique recycled sterling silver and set on a comfortable 2.5mm oval shaped band. The ring has been oxidized and rubbed back, enhancing the highlights for an antique look.
