I always start with the nose. I don't know why, it started many years ago. I have no idea what will emerge. I think I like to surprise myself.

Full description
Joan, who is the aunt of Felicity (see The Ballerina) splits her time between her allotment and an old lock up shed, where she invents things. The Melon Car came about as a result of an excess of melons on the allotment. It has 4 gears, no reverse and a top speed of 'Not Very Fast' . It is NOT licenced or roadworthy but as Joan only uses it on private land it doesn't need to be. If you want to build your own melon car Joan will let you have a copy of the plans for free.
This is an original A4 (210mm x 297mm) sized artwork drawn by myself. It is not a print. It is drawn on a heavyweight watercolour paper (I forget which type) and is done using fineliner pigment pens and artist quality acrylic paints. The image is 21 x 25cm with the bottom 4.7cm of the paper being blank.
