We love victoriana and antiquated dolls, and we feal childhood simply grew up with us. Our cat, Asher, is a living imp too, and with his bug eyes and tweeny nose is arguably the embodiment of creepy-cute. He is our adorable imp and must have inspired us along with heritage collections and tweakables.

A grey day means cut flowers ought to stand on the parlour table, thinks Marcel, who is a grey mouse with a flowery spread of hand embroidered roses on his navel. Around his neck, Marcel displays a collar fashioned from a liberty floral print adorned with bronze bells. Like his paws, Marcel’s head is a grey-stained porcelain that has been hand detailed with fur. His body is a light-ash mohair and his tail grey leather. Marcel is weighted and made to be seated, however his limbs move at hip and shoulder. At the centre of his chest is a Quartz crystal. This stone is like glass, says Marcel, and is open to all colour.
Marcel’s materials include: grey-stained porcelain, sand, stuffing, mohair, metal, leather, liberty fabric, buttons and ribbon.
Marcel measures 12 cm high, 7cm wide and 10 cm long.
