Full description

On a bright summer s day, this hare cavorts across an ancient landscape, over the furrowed earth and under an apple tree. Mushrooms cluster in the corner and the fields is ready to be sown...

This earthenware platter is delightful enough for a feast yet humble enough to enliven the everyday supper. Slab-built, then gently eased out of the round, the organic curvature will sit nicely atop your dining table or perch on a sideboard.

These terra cotta picture plates bear motifs of nature, cycles, life and death. Each one is hand carved and then brightly painted using underglazes I mix myself, before being inlaid with oxide washes and finally glaze fired. The theme of each motif continues to the reverse, which is textured with my rollers and impression tools before being inlaid with complementary colour.

You will receive one dish, as above, please note each is hand carved and painted - no two are exactly alike.

The tactile detail is a pleasure to hand wash.
