Sloths are such an usual animal but are loved the world over for their laid back attitude to life,
My young sloth measures 12" (30cm) from her large nose to her rather tiny tail. She is knitted in alpaca yarn and two additional brushed yarns and generously brushed to give this dense mohair appearance.
Sloths carry their young on their backs for a long time so to get this juvenile prepared I have made her a backpack.
Her arms and leg contain short armatures through the shoulders to give weight and some positioning.
Made by me based on a design by Claire Garland a designer who specialises on creating wonderful realistic animals
