Full description
These fingerless gloves are made from a lovely blend of lilac or light purple merino wool and silk yarn. I spun the high quality fibre into a thick yarn on my spinning wheel, then knitted these wristwarmers in bands of stocking stitch and garter stitch.
Merino is a breed of sheep which produces a very soft and silky fibre which is not at all itchy and is one of the most wearable wools. The silk gives a subtle sheen and little white flecks.
These gloves are ideal for texting, typing, riding, walking, driving, shopping etc as they keep your hands warm without losing dexterity. They have no fingers or thumbs.
One size fits most. If you have extra large or extra small hands, I would be happy to make a custom order for you. The double rib stitch is very elastic, fits snuggly and should keep its shape well. They measure 5" (12cm) long.
