HANDSPUN KNITTED FELTED CROSSBODY or SHOULDER BAG or PURSE
This crossbody or shoulder bag was knitted using my own handspun variegated pink, grey and blue merino wool yarn, edged with grey. I then felted it, giving a strong and non-stretchy fabric. I added embellishments in very bright pink. These are a pom pom and a tassel, both with large beads, which are removable for versatility. See the last photo showing the bag without the embellishments.
I added a loop and Dorset button closure. I made the button by weaving the same pink and grey yarns around a brass ring.
The purse measures 14" (35cm) wide x 11" (28cm) tall.
I made two matching corded straps which are 38" (97 cm) long, Long enough to wear across the body or over the shoulder.
This would be a great bag or purse for summer festivals. Rustic yet bright, fun yet practical.
Please be aware that different monitor screens can show colours differently.
