HANDSPUN KNITTED KERCHIEF COWL
Measurements - The cowl measures 12" (30.5cm) from top centre to the bottom centre.
I handspun some beautifully soft merino wool into a lightweight yarn, then I knitted this neckwarmer, bandana or 'kerchief cowl' to my own design, with sections of lattice stitch, eyelets, smooth stocking stitch, edged with pointy picots. The colour is a deep pink with a hint of lilac.
I call this a 'kerchief cowl' as it has the look of a kerchief or neckerchief, but it is joined at the back so there are no fussy ends to tie or cross over. This results in it staying in place much better.
This cowl has a chic, elegant look, whether just worn over a top, or under a jacket or coat to fill in the 'V'. Great for early morning or evening walks.
I often wear these around the house when I feel cold, yet it doesn't feel like I'm wearing a scarf.
Please be aware that screens can show colours differently.
As this item was completely made by hand from start to finish to my own design, it is truly unique. I can make these in other colours. Please feel free to contact me to discuss a custom order.
