HAND MADE RAINBOW DORSET BUTTON BROOCH OR PIN
This listing is for a 4.4cm (1.73") rainbow Dorset button brooch (pin). I made this by using various techniques of winding cotton thread around a brass ring and forming a rainbow with white puffy clouds on a pale blue (sky) background within a pale blue ring. It has a silver coloured brooch pin for attaching to lapel, hat, bag etc.
The creation of Dorset buttons was originally a large cottage industry in Dorset, England between 1622 and 1850, after which they were overtaken by machine-made buttons.
This would make a great Mothers' Day gift or birthday gift for a friend or family member.
I can send direct to a recipient with gift wrap and card. I can make these in different sizes or without brooch pins.
