HANDWOVEN KUMIHIMO BRAID and WIRE WRAPPED GREEN SEA GLASS NECKLACE
A unique piece! I wrapped a piece of green sea glass which was found on a Guernsey beach with silver toned wire, making it into a unique pendant.
I then made a braid using pink, green and black cotton thread using the Japanese Kumihimo technique. I have used nickel-free silver plated jewellery findings to connect all the elements of the necklace, including the lobster clasp and the pendant bail.
This would make a great Mothers' Day gift or birthday gift for a friend or family member.
SIZE -
The inner circumference of the necklace is 17" (43cm )
The height of the pendant from the bail is 1.5" (4cm)
This stylish necklace is my own design so it is truly unique and involves many techniques.
Please be aware that screens can show colours differently.
I will pack the necklace in tissue paper and an organza drawstring gift bag.
