The symbolism of mirrors is an interesting idea to play with, although it doesn't have an actual mirror plate in, the surface of the mirror is meant to offer up the idea that mirrors are gateways to an unseen world. With in the Pale House they are small doorways where moths, ivy and flowers burst forth, bathed in a gentle glow, akin to moon light.
