Full description
A unique hand embroidered 'Bird of Peace' created by women refugees of war now returned to their home town of Podujëve, Kosovo.
Each bird is created by a different artisan, with varying words about their experience of the brutal war carried out by Serbia 1998-99.
A historical artefact and emblem of peace and recovery.
Please note: Thread colours may vary slightly from the image, and the birds were suspended from Manchester Cathedral's ceiling for an event with Manchester Aid to Kosovo in 2019, so most birds have 2 small holes on the back where the thread was attached.
80% of the total cost will go straight to Sister Stitch (supported by Manchester Aid to Kosovo)
