Full description
A super little original textile art picture of a field of poppies. The picture has been made by needle felting strips of silk onto a felt background and using woollen fibres to blend the colours. The needle felting technique binds the fabric and fibres together eliminating the need for stitching. After laying down the background, the poppies have been added and a fine layer of woollen "grass" added to the foreground.
The picture size is approximately 4.5" x 2.5" and it has been mounted using an off white card mount and framed in a simple 6"x4" black frame. The frame has both a hanging hook and a prop stand on the reverse allowing it to be displayed either on the wall or a shelf.
Note: the frame is supplied glazed but the glass has been removed for photographs to avoid unwanted reflections.
