I hope this lovely family sign will be a joy to unbox Christmas after Christmas.
The cotton velvet is personalised with the phrase 'Joy to the 'family name'' in glittery gold lettering. I then hand stitch the velvet with glass pearls and beading in shades of gold and cream, before framing in an 8 inch oak stained bamboo embroidery hoop. I complete it with a chunky handmade bow, made from recycled polyester grosgrain ribbon.
There is also a narrower grosgrain ribbon, for hanging or tying the piece, and it is finished with a circle of felt stitched to the reverse.
When complete, I wrap the hoop in tissue, and package in an A4 postal box, perfect to store the decoration for next year. If sending directly to a loved one, I can include a hand written note.
The hoop is approximately 21cm diameter (across the width)
