I was given this cute little owl earring by a charity shop that couldn’t sell it without its partner. I remembered that I had some fabric and yarn scraps that matched the colours perfectly, so set about putting them together in a way that would bring them all a new purpose. I love embracing the raw edges of fabric scraps, and the way that visible stitching can enhance the colour, pattern and texture of fabrics. I hope you love this little chap as much as I do! This one-of-a-kind necklace brings new life to lost treasures! A gold-tone owl once one of a pair of earrings, hand-sewn onto repurposed denim and vintage golden yellow fabric, features stunning blue-purple enamel detailing. The pendant is suspended from a salvaged gold-tone ring, with a handmade "chain" crafted from golden yellow yarn and blue embroidery thread. Embracing an upcycled, handcrafted aesthetic, the necklace showcases raw, fraying edges and visible stitching for a delightfully scrappy, yet artful look. Perfect for lovers of sustainable fashion with a unique, story-filled piece to wear.
All of my upcycled items are made from carefully selected, checked and cleaned source materials. I have many years of experience with identifying materials and do my best to give you all the information about them. But as with all upcycled items, I can’t guarantee that they are free of allergens, sharp edges etc. Please contact me if you have any questions.
